Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

FAO (Newish) Lumix owners, please help!

    Hi folks,

    Im wondering can some kind soul help me out...

    I have a Lumix DMC-FZ28, which I use with a 16gb Hama SDHC card. I had a laptop stolen on me which had my Panasonic installation CD in the drive at the time. It turns out that my standard SD card reader on my older lappy (which I use now) doesnt read the SDHC as I would like (I get dcim.exe files etc in it, but no picture folders).

    Is there anybody out there who has a recent-ish Lumix software CD (I think I basically need Photofunstudio to get at my pictures) they could part with, or allow me to install?

    I would imagine you need a SDHC card reader?

    Whyulittle I've actually since discovered that I had a virus on the SDHC card ever since plugging it into a cafe computer in Thailand. I finally got at the photos, but had to de-virus and format the card afterwards.

    As an aside: The virus creates a .exe file of whatever the photo folder on the card is called; so I had one called dcim.exe. It hides the real dcim photo folder and even has a folder icon so you click on it by mistake and run the exe. You have to virus scan and quarantine dcim.exe/misc.exe/autorun.inf files, then view hidden files & OS files (your photo folders will appear greyed-out).

    Hope this helps anyone in a similar boat...

    Got my Lumix last November, so it's fairly recent. Not comfortable posting but I can meet you as far south as sandyford. Since you have a laptop, you can meet at a cafe near there.
    Not available this weekend but usually am during the week.
