Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In Windows Defender there is an option to check and control the startup programs. If you have Windows Defender disabled, you can use CCleaner. Download CCleaner here:

Then just use the Tools > Startup Options to disable any stuff you don't want auto-starting. Better to disable the startup entry rather than delete it if you are not sure what you are doing (you can always re-enable if you want).

iirc iTunes has a load of background processes it runs at startup for syncing the ipod that can't be disabled without blowing up itunes.

an idea might be to uninstall itunes, and create a separate windows profile and reinstall itunes to that profile alone for syncing?

Sorry I am not very computer savvy, could you explain about setting up an extra profile? Would I be able to still use all the music I have loaded on itunes?
