Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

AUDIO RECORD OUT OF MIXER

Ok, the mix tapes are gone.....!

Can some one tell me how to go about recording my mixes onto cd?
Is it possible to at least record it without a laptop and then download to burn later.

My searches found me this but it is out of stock http://http://www.sessionmusic.co.uk/product.aspx?productid=4996

    Any recommendations at all?

I had a creative sound blaster but it crashed and nearly took my laptop with it, so I wan't to try and steer clear of anythin too complicated.

I also do karaoke every so often too and think it might be a nifty thing to be able to give some drunk twit a copy of him shouting into the mic.

    Thanks.

Does your laptop have a line-in jack or just a microphone connection? You can get pretty decent results using Audacity with just the line-in & a bit of volume adjusting. Even a very budget sound card works well, all it needs is to have line-in. I do have a pretty good USB sound card but, still swear by Audacity to record, master & convert all of my mixes. As freebie programs go, it's an absolute gem.

    Info here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net

I do I.T. repairs etc for a living so, PM me if you want to go through maybe giving the soundblaster another go, I used one for a year or so trouble free. I'd gladly try & help you set it up. It'd be a shame to go buying more hardware when you have all you need there already!
