I'm doing the whole long-distance relationship thing with my boyfriend atm and we don't often get to see each other (often 2/3 weeks at a time)! However when we do, it's generally in Dublin (Grafton/Dundrum/O'Connell Street areas) as it's the most convenient place for us both. My question is if anyone knows somewhere where we can go for a bit of time for the two of us? We've exhausted the obvious ones like Stephen's Green, the cinema etc.. But still want our alone time!! Anyone have any suggestions where we can go??

Have you tried a hotel? Or god forbid your bedroom?

D4 hotels. I guess they are still doing their E25 a night deals?

Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin. Short bus ride from town. lots of quiet romantic walks etc.

This is probably the best option, get the 83 or 19/19A from Westmoreland Street, its a lovely quiet area, nice to walk around. You can get a coffee in the shop.

Then you can head the porterhouse for something to eat and drink.

Dublin Castle and City Hall. Those long distance relationships can be a tricky animal to negotiate, so sometimes analysing history and where we are now can be a great perspective to get into with a partner.

Uhm, does the OP want places for quite romance or sneaky riding?

Could offer advice on either in Dublin but it'd be easier to know which she sought.

Suggestions on both would be quite handy :P

D4 Hotels is handy. Trinity Capital sometimes does nice rates. Also, some companies rent apartments out for the night for fairly low prices.

Emmmmm....Is the OP over the age of consent ?

If not, laws may have been broken here.

Or wait, no maybe just some sort of moral code, that's okay then. continue..
