Just as I find this post, I thought to myself, sound where are people buying these cheap ass ciggies? I should do that, Im sick of paying 8.40 a pack... then the guards find them all. Im presuming getting the cheap ciggies will be no more for a good while at least considering the amount that was found. Suppose I should stick to my original plan, give them up for new years, crap.
Well you see, Gards post on boards too. And when they see folks admitting to knowing where to get this stuff, the PM them. Maybe have a little cyber. but then! they find out where to get them, and then they arrange massive sting operations. or something. right? I think im right. the FBI told me I was right. And that everything was going to be okay.

Especially if _I_ have anything to do with it.

Everytime I'm in Germany I nip into ALDI and buy 40 packets of tobacco.
40 gram for E3.60. That lasts me for most of the year.
First, it's completely legal, so not funding criminals.
Second, and most important, the Irish government doesn't get a penny from me, so not funding criminals.
Thirdly, cheap as chips, i spend more on milk throughout the year.
But also, you can kill yourself with the Irish "food" much more effectively, everything's fried and processed with 5 kilos of salt.
You've got to die of something, cancer, heart attack, stroke, you name it.
It's not that I don't plan to contract cancer (though I don't) I also don't plan to live forever.
Really we should all give up meat, cars, alcohol, sex with starngers, telly, playstation, drugs and a lot of other things along with cigarettes, but what kind of life would that be?
I would have to beat my brains in with a cushioned, secured, rubberised Health and Safety hammer.
Siehst du die Graeber dort im Tal, das sind die Raucher von Reval.
Siehst du die Graeber bei den Hecken? Das sind die Nichtraucher, die auch verrecken!
Bit of bad news for non smokers, you too will die.

Do you ever get stopped on the way into the airport at home? 40 packs must take up a bit of space in your bag.

You can legally bring 3,600 cigs within the EU for your own personal use.

Shop near my school sells 5 euro Chinese Marlboro lights under the counter, make great business week round from the school. Dreading the day that place is closed and I'm back to paying 8.50€, only problem is the smoke taste likes it's been cut with some weird **** instead of pure tobacco.

Mods, why no action on people bashing smoking? This is a thread on the price of cigarettes, not how harmful smoking is. If I went into the Motorsport section and commented on how "F1 is dangerous and the possibility of death exists" I'd be done for trolling on the spot, why shouldn't the same apply here?

I used to buy chinese cigs from a lovely guy in town for 3 quid a pack. Used to sell them under the counter in a pet shop I worked in for 5 quid..... good times. Since then he's stopped selling them, and I was sacked lol!
So now I've no wages and I'm paying full price in shops....cruel world eh?

At first I hated them, as they were WAYYYY too strong, and tasted like glue. But after about the 15th packet, they were awesome, and normal cigs just wouldnt do. Think they were called Septwolfe(?) And there was another one called Huange(?) which had black filters and were 2.3 of nicotene....:pac:

I'd figured this was becoming the case alright, haven't bought more than a handful of packets in shops in Ireland over the past eighteen months or so...

It's the simplest law of economics: supply and demand. Consumers will find the supplier selling any given product at the price they're willing to pay. The Irish government have forced tobacco prices beyond the point that consumers are willing to bare, helped happily along by the likes of idiots like Ash...

Tellox - I didn't read any of the other posts, I just skipped ahead and wrote a reply so if this has already been mentioned, I'm sorry.

You don't plan on getting cancer...cancer gets you, you have no choice in the matter. Smoking only makes it a lot easier to find you.

    As for emphysema...the same goes.

Do what you want, but will you think about taking care of yourself?
I know people who have been in your position and they haven't come out the right side if you know what I mean and they could have turned it around...
Also, when I'm subjected to passive smoking it makes me gag. But that's not your fault.

Hey just a question here no offensive intended

since the smoking ban allot more people - and ex smokers are only smoking when they are out in the pub/beer garden or maybe at a party ect.

Would none, some or most of the people you know be smokers? - i assume there is a strict no smoking ban where you live but when you go out - if you go to the pub would you stay in the pub or go to the beer garden if thats where the conversation was? or at a restaurant would you ever be left at the table by yourself as others have gone out to have a smoke? And at other peoles houses dothey mind smoking outside when you are there?

i know an ex smoker who refuses to be around smoke - did you used to smoke? and again how bad is this gag reflex?

sorry but i have to know :D
