    Hi All,

Is it possible to put a solid fuel fire in a timber frame house using a double walled flue? I am moving into a new build timber frame house and I would love to put a fire in it but unfortunately it is semi detached and the shape of the living room means the fire is against the joining wall. The only thing I can think of is running a flue up through the house and out the top concealing the pipe in plasterboard.

Any info on this is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Austin.

Perfectly possible with a woodburning stove. There are models aesthetically designed so that they can be positioned in the middle of a room away from walls if desired.
