any one know if the Academy is seated or not? Got tickets to the Bootleg Beatles in 2 weeks and want to get an extra ticket- It says General Admission on the Ticket but i need to know for sure its not seated as iwant to get an extra ticket..... So Anyone know for sure???

There are seats around the sides alright, and depending on the crowds if you are early they may let you upstairs where they have nice comfy couches on the balcony facing the stage.

Quick question re The Green Room in the Academy. Got tickets to Calvin Harris' dj set there in a couple of weeks - just wondering where is this room in the Academy? Is it big? Much of a capacity?

the bootleg beatles are on after Calvin harris- which i'm not sure how will work out! doors uopen a 11 for the BB's so should be interesting to see if the venue can cope with a change over of crowd?

You know when you walk into the academy, as in the front door, if you keep walking straight, past where the merch is sold, and keep goin there is a bar/room at the back thats the green room, well i think thats it

The Academy has 4 floors.

The Balcony & Main Room are 1 venue, thats up the stairs as you come in. Balcony is only accessible through VIP gues tlist or amazing charm!

The Green Room is straight ahead.

Academy 2 is down stairs.

It's all the one entrance though. And yeah the venue can cope with the changeover of the crowds.

And there are a few seats, with a **** few but nice if really wanna sit down.

Is there much chance of getting up to the balcony in the Academy? Only my wife is small and it would be easier for her to see up there.

I read elsewhere there is a standing area by the bar? Is it easier to see from there maybe?

the area at the back is raised and their is a barrier there. If she can get on the higher side of that then she will be fine. It's not even that far away from the stage either

The area at the sides are also up a level from the main standing area. If you go early, you should be able to get a good spot.
It's a cracking venue.
