Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't know, I would spend few Euro more for their WD one. Proven and trusted. But that is purely me personal opinion.

Have to agree. I'd always personally stay well away from Packard Bell. They always had a bad rep in the IT industry and for many many years, their machines were made from reconditioned components.

I've had a packard bell PC 9 years,Have had absolutely no issues with it,If I was in the market for a 1tb HDD i'd get this..

I used to work in a computer shop... 90% of the computers coming back for repair were packard bells! Stay clear! I'd go for the WD too...

If you are in Dublin and can't wait for delivery get one of this from Peats - http://www.peats.com/cgi-bin/catalog.cgi?type=product&id=25122

It's less than 80 euros at the moment and you may get a 3-year warranty from Iomega if you register your purchase on-line. Bought one of this when they were selling like hot cakes couple of months ago.

As if for reliability, I can only vouch it's still working perfectly fine since I bought it. If you google around, I believe it's a Samsung hard drive inside. Iomega is just the shell.

    EDIT:
    Quote from Peats website.
For the long weekend we've dropped the price of our best selling Iomega 1TB external hard drive to €79.95, but be quick. Once Tuesday comes around they'll revert back to their regular €89.95 price.

Iomega use Seagate drives in their machines.
