Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

AVG is a serious CPU hog these days. I remember my brother was trying to install Nokia PC Suite on his laptop about a year ago and it was taking over an hour. The Task Manager took over two minutes to come up and when it did, avgrsx.exe was eating 100% of the CPU. They've really gone downhill with 8.0 and later which is a shame as 7.5 was excellent.

Can MS Security Essentials cover all that AVG covers? I noticed the other night what a huge drain on the CPU the AVG scan was causing.

avg free does not detect the virut or sality file infectors, that are out since before the summer, windows essentials detects and heals these infect files, and also spots some of the fake antivirus programs
