Anyone lost a cat? (Microchipped)

Hi there,

I've been getting calls from Pet trace and the DSPCA about a cat they've found. The cat is microchipped but unfortunately someone mis-typed the contact phone number when registering the cat and they're calling me.

It's a long shot but if you've lost your microchipped cat, have a look on the DSPCA website. They have the cat and they're keen to find the owner. I don't know any other details so this is a looooong shot but I figured it couldn't hurt to post something here.

From the chio number, they should be able to find where the cat was chipped. Rescues, vets etc. tend to buy in bulk and will have numbers from xxxxxxx01 to xxxxxx99. If they could find where it was chipped it may help to find the real owner. Always worth a try.

You could always post up on lost and found sites (obviously, with a discription and location of the cat) and see if anyone comes forward.
