    Hi all,

Got a wedding anniversary coming up this weekend and would like to have a nice evening including a night in a hotel. Don't want to drive too far so anywhere within an hour of South Dublin would be great.

The agenda would be stroll around the area, maybe some drinks in a local pub, dinner in a local restaurant followed by a few more drinks and back to the hotel.

Somewhere with an interesting walk to shake off the cobwebs next morning would be great.

Looking for the best value for money last minute deal or recession deal out there.

    All ideas greatly received.

    Ben

the beacon in Sandyford is a really nice hotel. It does a one night stay with dinner, breakfast and late check out. The dublin mountains isnt far and you could go for afew drinks in the Blue light aswell:D This is from the website:

    Dine Out, Stay Out!

No hidden extras, no horrible surprises on check out, no sneaky service charges, no limited menus… just a brilliant deal for those wanting a Great Escape!

Simple - From €160 per couple that includes a designer guestroom, complimentary car parking, complimentary wireless, dinner for two with a full choice from the menu; any starter, any main, any dessert with coffee. Full Irish breakfast the next morning with a late check out until 2pm thrown in!

Thanks ChillyWilly but my missus would freak if I drove less than 1km up the road and pulled into the Beacon!!!

Something similar down the coast a little would be ideal.
