Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Spurs missing a few according to 'Arry:
Jonathan Woodgate (head injury) and Aaron Lennon (ankle) have joined a missing list that already included Ledley King (illness/knee), Luka Modric (fractured fibula) and Giovani dos Santos (ankle).

Add to that striker Jermain Defoe, who serves the second of his three-match suspension and Niko Kranjcar, who is cup-tied having played in the competition for Portsmouth.

Reckon we'll have a few kids on the bench.

Wonder what type of squad City will have out tonight. Scunthorpe are actually a decent enough team. I reckon it'll be tighter than people might expect.

Haven't City played pretty much a full strength side to date?

Is there a highlights show for the goals tonight? Sky or other?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,326 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Reid starting tonight for Blackburn, i don't see him featuring against France, but nice to see him in action again, he has only been involved in the League cup this season.

Kalinic starts too, see if he can get a bit of confidence playing against a championship side.

The BBC (NI) have a highlights show tomorrow at 23.25 (might be earlier on English BBC). Presumably showing goals from tonight and tomorrow cos there is nothing tonight,

I think Blackburn v Peterboro would have been a better game to show on sky.

I didn't post that as i'm in denial :) Kalinic hit a header against the bar since then,

    Spurs just gone 1-0 up

Half time at Sunderland 0-0 with Villa

Blackburn should win now, against 10 men and 2 1 up. Especially as man sent off is their goalkeeper, think they had a keeper on bench though

Steven Reid allowed to take a penalty, apparantly slipped and mi**** it into the bottom corner to put Blackburn 2-1 up, Peterborough are down to 10 men too as a result of the incident leading to the penalty.

It must be hard being a Blackburn fan this year (every year?), 2 - 2 against ten men

Not particularily :) you can't have the highs without the lows!

94/95 was a great season for Blackburn fans, and we won this competition not so long ago, and have a good cup record over the past few years.

I still expect them to win this game, as they should.

Edit: and there is Salgado's goal to make it 3-2

keane scores spurs 2-0 after he missed a pen and the first rebound

Pompy found somethin they can win

    3-0 Stoke
    Goooooooaaaaaaaaal
Tottenham goal: Tim Howard saves Robbie Keane's penalty. Howard then saves follow-ups from Keane, David Bentley and Gareth Bale but is finally beaten at the fourth attempt by Robbie Keane.

wtf? Howard saved the peno and then three rebounds?!

    Everton's defense all at sea

    missing all them players, tsk...

Jones has missed a penalty at the Stadium of Light, looks like that one might be heading to extra time and maybe more penalties.

Looks like game over at Ewood, McCarthy makes it 4-2 with an assist from Kalinic.

and just to add Reid has been subbed, not able to take the 2nd peno to Blackburn,

Kalinic does and makes it 5-2 :)

Indeed :) am happy that Kalinic has got one, even with it being a penalty, he needs some confidence, and the unselfish assist for McCarthy's is a good one for him too.

Am just hoping Sunderland pull something out of the bag, i want them away in the next round for Blackburn :)
