text scam - chernobyl

    I live in Kilkenny and got a flyer in the door today supposedly from a charity looking for you to text help to 57030. Anyhow, tis a scam...just warning anyone who does text....your 2.50 per text per week goees to a co. called zamano, not to Chernobyl children.

    Looks like they are a provider of SMS services. They are probably just an intermediary. Chernobyl kids aren't going to be directly waiting for your text and taking the credit off you. Maybe it is a scam, although how a company saying they are collecting for charity and then keeping all the profits would expect to get away with it? Thats a bit too blatant.
