I can confirm that there is at least one CF pistol licensed in the CE area.

I'd be questioning that "dealer" thing too. Not sure that I know of any dealers qualified to issue any kind of Safety Certificates. They are done over a period of time and class and practical work is required.

Apparently he is a dealer also qualified to instruct as well...From what he told me anyway. He also know the S.I very well from what I can gather...He showed me a pile of blank certs and he can give me a safety course if required.

I heard form a dealer today there is some one in Clare due to collect his new gun.

Got one grant letter this morning, went to PO and got it paid at lunch time. Still two more to go. Mod is holding one up and the other isn't due until the end of January. Applications went in on 19th October, so about four weeks by the time it arrives.

Not as quick as Sparks.

applied - 20 september (2nd time)
both receipt and grant notice letter came today!
but they are dated with two different dates
05/12 and 13/12!
great Christmas present anyway!!

Got all 3 sorted this week, paperwork went in October 2009.
1 bolt action .22 rifle, one semi auto .22 rifle and 1 x .22 semi auto pistol.

Happy days, and no more licence hastle for 3 years.
