    Loner in Brisbane - Tips for makin friends?

    So I'm settled into brisbane now, but I havent made any friends, bar some that have moved on from Brisbane

    I have my own apartment. Tried to live with people but didnt get any rooms I went to see. So I've no room mates

    Have a job, but dont start til Nov 10th, and I prob wont make many friends there as I think the other people will be a fair bit older than me, but hopefully not all of them

    So Im out of ideas of what to do to try make friends, as I wont be in any hostels

    Any suggestions??

    I have just been informed that some of my friends are organising a party for another friend of ours at the German Club(opposite the Gabba) on Friday, so there will be more people there to start with, gives Unreggd a chance to met some locals

    "I'd love to but..." for me. I'm not sure about this weekend yet. I might be heading off to the Roar v Jets game on Friday and then have visitors coming up next weekend so that rules that out. If plans change for this weekend though I'll definitely come along.

    I think Pig N Whistle will be the venue,

    German Club was ust something that threw out there as a suggestion, However Should anyone else know of a FUN establishment to go to for Friday boozin, Feel free to elaborate
