Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Best console for kids?

    Hi All

    First of all apologies if I am asking a question that is already in here somewhere.

    My kids, 2 girls 4 & 8 and a boy 6, are talking about getting a console for Christmas. The three options that I see are XBox, PS3 or Wii. They seem keen on the Wii but from the small bit I know the Wii appears to be very limited. They are all into racing type games and the boy is into fighting/shooting games.

    What would be the best console to consider getting.

    I got my son the wii when he was 6 and he got bored in a few days.
    Hes now 7 and absolutely loving his xbox 360,hes into fist person shooters online mostly and a pretty damn fine player on cod4 and cod waw.
    Hes also into RPG games and guitar hero/rock band etc.
    We also have a PS3 but he barely bothers with it at all so for him alteast its the 360 all the way, get it for yourself while your at it :)

    My little one plays the 360 more than the Wii, which is gathering dust at the moment. She's 8.

    Get a 360 or PS3! If you're in the market for a Blu Ray player, PS3... if not, get a 360 (personal preference).

    Even a 4 year old won't be entertained for long by most of the rubbish thats out for the wii.

    Simple, if you need the blue ray player get a ps3 , if not get an xbox.
    The same games are out on both consoles, and the ps3 does not boast the same amount of exclusive titles they did on ps2.

    One the down side though many of the games on both systems are geared to an older age group and neither have even a fraction of the 'kiddy' titles the wii has rubbish and all as they are.
