Unusual furniture any ideas?

HI , My aunt bought this in a antique shop in uk 40 yrs ago , we have no idea what it is or how old. its a small table with an engraved top with asian style details , the top isnt flat so you cant use it , its more decorative. any one have any ideas what it is ? some one thought it may be made by brmanese POW003.JPG 005.JPG

Hi Buck ,
I was thinking Chinese 1960's furniture .
They usually wear a sheet of glass on top ,
and have the carving in a "recessed" panel , which allows the glass to sit comfortably and the carved detail still be visible .
The decoration depicts a Chinese court scene too.
