I know there's a thread here somewhere on this but I can't find it.

There was talk of the BBC showing the last grand prix in high definition but the talk of it seems to have died down.

    Has anyone heard anything?

No mention of it on the schedule....

    Thanks

    There's a bit of a gap between 00.10 and 15.45.

    I'll live in hope!

Have you ever watched BBC HD. All they ever show is previews!

Bernie says the technology's there, the Beeb have the power.

Yeah. Very little on it alright.

Of course they only take the feed of the host broadcaster so it depends on whether they broadcast in HD or not.

Not true. FOM manage the event and then its given to broadcasters. FOM have been hd ready for over 2 years now.

I stand corrected. But does HD ready mean that a HD feed is available to the broadcasters that want it?

The US channel Speed TV has been using HD feeds for a while already so its just that it wasnt picked up yet in the UK

No, the hd feed is not offered to broadcasters.

That's kinda what I meant. There is no HD feed available to the BBC (or others) that may want it.

They want to charge too much for a HD feed, the broadcasters are having none of it.
