Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Advice requested - Getting a new provider

    Hi All,

I've recently moved into a new house. It has a semi-active telephone line that allows me to call Eircom support (1901) and the number callback service. Using the latter I got the telephone number, but as it turned out later, that number has been reassigned elsewhere, so it is not longer associated with this line.

Anyhow, I contacted Vodafone with a view to availing of their broadband package, but they say they cannot do anything until I get a telephone number (which I presume means I need to go to Eircom). Seems a bit odd that Vodafone cannot do it directly themselves. So much for unbundling....

    Has anybody any similar experiences/advice?

    Thanks

Get eircom to reconnect that line. Then move it over to vodafone.

Pretty much the only way you're gonna get it half ways painless.

Any attempt to do something else and you'll get f*cked by eircom. If they have the faintest idea, that you're gonna move elsewhere, they're gonna throw any bricks possible in your way.

    /M
