I've had a look at his Facebook page, and there are loads of RIP Messages, but I've been told he hasn't died, it just went around his home place that he had.

As I said when I heard this news, he was one of the most level-headed posters on this forum, and I thought that long before I started modding this place.

The forum will be a poorer place without his posting, I wish him a speedy recovery.

I saw this on the news this morning, never for a moment dreamed it would be someone I know of...in that boards.ie way of 'knowing' people.

Jesus that brings a different resonance to the news. if its the same eirebhoy that posts on the other Irish football forum that I use a lot, there are going to be a lot of upset people.

I heard that too this morning. There was nothing on the news about it. I hate how these rumours and chinese whispers start. People getting second hand info and taking it as gospel. They do absolutley nothing good for the family or the person involved.

God, this is dreadful news. I've found eirebhoy one of the better contributors around here, particularly with regards to the international scene. Seems like a very pleasant chap.
