Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey, I'm looking for people who have either lost their jobs or taken redundancy within the past two years to take part in a photoshoot. I will be taking the photographs either at your home, studio or new place of work, then using statistics on redundancy within the recession as captions.

Anyone who would be up for this or who knows someone who would be, if they could get in contact it would be brilliant.

Anyone can take part, teachers, builders, lawyers, architects, dancers anyone!!

    Thanks you!
    Zoe

Why don't you use models... no need to use real people who have been affected if you're not going to have a story about them!

Could you give more information of where and how these images will be used?

It would also be interesting to show us some of your previous work.

yeah it's for a final major assignment. I've got 7 months to do it. I want to also develope a story from those who take part which would be displayed in the end of year exhibition, so models wouldn't really work. I won't rule it out though

I'll do it. I took voluntary career break (paid albeit) for 3 years and I've buggered off to London for the time being. So in effect, the recession has meant I don't have a job anymore in Ireland. I'm back form the 5th til the 15th if you're interested.

What were you working as before you left if you dont mind me asking. Also did you go to college and if so what did you study?

Im pretty much looking for people who are either redundant or who are working in jobs completely different to what they studied due to lack of jobs in their desired career.

I studied in DIT for Geo-Surveying and I worked for Dublin City Council. I'm now in London, struggling to find a job, any job, even a sh1tty job because I'm either too qualified for the sh1tty ones and jobs I am qualified for are thin on the ground. I came over here to try something completely different, hoping to get photography work but thats been pretty tough so far too.
