Oh how sad - but what a long and successful life!

Am I the only person who loves "The Archers" but can't stand almost every one of the Archer family in the soap? (Lillian - Fag Ash Lil as she's known on some boards - is the only exception). They're all so insufferably smug.

Normans last scenes are to be aired this sunday on BBC radio 4. The actor, who played farmer Philip Archer on the Radio 4 show the archers, passed away last month at the age of 85.
