Using a calling card on a mobile?

    Can anyone advise?

I'm looking for a way to make cheap calls to the UK from my mobile. I bought an international calling card but it only works on landlines, when I used my mobile it ate my own credit. I asked 02 and they had no idea.

Do these cheap international calling cards work only on landlines then? Surely there must be one for mobiles in this day and age??

    Thanks a mil

O2 won't be much help as it is taking away revenue from them.

Calling cards do work and work well if you have free minutes which you can use to call the local access number. I have used www.justvoip.com for international calls, which has a local Irish access number.
