Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know why an internet sometimes become local only. I have Vista Home Premium and an eircom router

Some times it changes to local only during a browsing session and sometimes when i go to connect it says either limited connectivity or local only

    Thanks

Sounds like the signal is dropping.. are you using the laptop wirelessly? (is that even a word?!) and if so, how far away from the router?

That's a well known Vista issue, "forgets" that's it's actually connected to a network.

Restarting the computer easily resolves the issue. Also, disable IPv6 in your Wireless Adapter properties.

When was the last time the Eircom router was restarted? Always worth a try, as sometimes these are left on constantly and just need a good reboot.
