This is a long shot [also posting in Hertitage section] I'm researching my family tree and wondering if you or any of your family might have heard of a Patrick Mitchell who was according to newspaper article [1921] on his death 'manager for Messrs. Cloran, Tuam' for 50years.

He didnt seem to have had a family and noted from census he lived with a number of other people none seem to be related...just wondering [again a long short] if anyone would have any info/photos/memories of this man. Got in touch with Old Tuam Society but they were not able to help beyond recommending the census.

    thanks loads

I am surprised that the Old Tuam Society couldn't help and especially as they launched a history of Cloran's Bakery two years ago. Local historian Tony Claffey could help. Otherwise you could archive the Tuam Herald or Connacht Tribune for references to him.

yes i too was suprised, as i emailed the guy that was working on the history of Cloran's Baker...i will try Tom and see. Archives not showing up anything bar his death/funeral info but i might actually post an article in the Tuam herald...might bring up something. cheers!
