Slim I'd say, but you could ask them on Twitter, they always reply.

I only ever say the first LOTR, not my thing so I never watched the next two.

    I might try them again.

Every time I see one of your posts I see the avatar out of the corner of my eye. It keeps reminding me to download Patton! Haven't seen it in years, downloading it now. Legally of course.

Going to see Gone With the Wind tomorrow.

4 hours is a long time to spend in one seat though, hope I can handle it.

Last time I watched it on DVD, I watched it over 2 days...

I made it through the 4 hours anyway, don't think I'll ever see it in the cinema again though, way too long to be sitting in an uncomfortable seat.

    Great film though.

Nice, if they're not going to be just projecting a DVD onto the screen I might go to a few of them.

Thanks for that - when it says 'tickets go on sale on Feb 15', would that suggest tickets tend to sell out for these movies? Thanks...

I couldn't tell ya but I do know you can buy the tickets directly from the box office now or they'll be available to book online from the 15th. Heat was also one of the movies you could of voted for, how Titanic beat that is a mystery.

Preachin' to the choir here, Buddy. That is most unfortunate. Never saw Heat on the big screen.

Just click the movie you want to see on the right hand side and it'll give you the times.

They are all on at 8:45pm on each day.

They are all on at 8:45pm on each day.

No, they are on at different times. The movies duration dictates the starting time.

    Titanic - 8.00pm
    Braveheart - 8.15pm
    Saving Private Ryan - 8.45pm

    etc..

I'm wondering about this as well!

Was shown for the first time at the Berlinale.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,614 ✭✭✭The Sparrow

Did anyone go to LOTR last night at the screen? Was I the only one who thought that the colour was slightly washed out with a bit of a green tint?

Nothing too major but I did notice it. I'd forgotten how great a film that Fellowship is.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,255 ✭✭✭Renn

    They're just playing a dvd/blu-ray though, no?

  • Registered Users Posts: 710 ✭✭✭Feu

more people than i thought seemed to be buying on the night, and it wasn't completely full, b ut very nearly. you should be fine los

It wasnt full but I arrived just as the film was about to start and it was maybe slightly less than two thirds full. But those people had taken all the decent seats so arrive early if you dont want to be stuck at the front/side like I was.

I'd say there might be less people tomorrow because of the Champions League being on. That's the reason I'm not going but I'll be back for Return of the King.

And yeah, the 02 treats voucher is really sweet.

    LotR was good fun! :)

Was my first time seeing it.

When Gandalf returned from the 'dead' with his tales of victorious battles, I felt like shouting out:

    "Yeah right!" :p
