    IFI Cinema
    Wednesday 8th June @ 14.10 & 18.30

    --

Bunch of American "conspiracy thrillers" being shown this month at the IFI, Chinatown being the best of them for me.

just saw it in the booklet Pete :)

I've got to recommend the Parallax View too, one of the best of the conspiracy movies imo. Creeping tension brilliantly played out. Well worth a watch on the big screen

What's the story? I was planning on going to it later.

  • Registered Users Posts: 811 ✭✭✭dave13

It can still be booked online, has anyone called or bought tickets already?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,688 ✭✭✭kerash

I have tickets for this? Explain Ronano!!

Raiders of the Lost Ark to mark the 30th anniversary this week???

    Any information? :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 826 ✭✭✭Travel is good

I have the Unlimited card so I usually have to go in person to book a ticket, don't think I can do it online. I was planning on heading up to Cineworld about 5.30pm or so to book my ticket. Unfortunately I won't have a computer then so can't let you know.

Cineworld don't exactly make it easy to phone either. The only number I can see is a premium number, which I don't feel like paying for.

On the website there is no information. It just has the showing of Apocalypse Now at 19.45pm, no changes.

If ronano is correct, then it's very poor communication & customer service, IMHO.

    I'm going to try anyway.

I sent a tweet to @Cineworld this is the reply

Thanks for trying. That looks a bit cryptic.....
I'm presuming it means the film is still on.

That's great, as I would have been so disappointed.

It's about my favourite film of all time!

BTW, thanks for the Twitter tip, I'll now follow them on Twitter! It's cheaper than phoning that number.

My girlfriend went to get some tickets for Apocalypse Now recently enough and they said they weren't sure if they were showing it tonight as they still haven't gotten a cert for it :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,689 ✭✭✭✭OutlawPete

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,141 ✭✭✭ronano

I am so glad it all worked out and the film was shown. The cinema was completely full. They could have shown it in a bigger cinema & sold more tickets.

I'm glad I got my seat early.

What an amazing film! I never tire of watching it. Was anyone else there? I guess I should really go over to the Film Reviews forum.

Its days like this I really hate being based in Limerick. You guys are spoiled in Dublin with the choice of cinemas.

Came in just as the film started, sorry for walkin in front of the screen:o - got held up trying to give another guy our extra ticket but the manager wouldn't allow it cos he had an unlimited card or something.
    Sorry guy I tried.
