    Gone with The Wind????????????? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

"You need to be kissed, kissed often and by someone who knows how"
"I know how much you drink and I know how often you drink"
"This is one night you wont be thinking of your precious Ashley"

They are not direct quotes but I would just like to say ...Oh Rhett they dont make men like you anymore!!!

I hope somewhere plays Cleopatra soon!!!

    I

I've never managed to sit through a whole screening of GWTW. I dunno it just kinda gets ridiculous, but maybe I just can't take it seriously and see it only as a parody. Kinda like when you see Leslie Nielson in a "real" movie!

However An affair to remember is one of my top favourite movies! LOVE IT!

    HEY YOU GUYSSSSS!!!

Will go see this, great to have classics again in the screen but... They've shown The Goonies now about 3 times.
-Isn't the point to be able to go see movies in the cinema that you haven't seen in years or have never been able to see on the big screen?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,255 ✭✭✭Renn

But it's so easy for them to show them - digital copies and all that. Personally I don't see the appeal :/

Most of them are just showing DVD's projected which as far as I'm concerned is ridiculous. A year or so ago I was at a Masterclass by the screenwriter of Contact and Coppola's Dracula where they screened Dracula. We were told it was one of the original prints but in fact was a DVD which looked atrocious when projected.

It would be an absolute dream come true to see Reservoir Dogs with Michael Madsen…I have loved that film and him since I was about 13 … Probably too young to have watched it but still and I would just love this so so much!!!! Paprika is on at the IFI on the 20th of March. True cult classic.

A must for anyone who loves surrealism, animation and psychological thrillers. :)

Were they the four girls who destroyed the place with popcorn? Pretty much two boxes of popcorn emptied out all over the seats and floor. Not cool! Ah tweens!

A Scanner Darkly is playing in the IFI on Tue 27th March as part of an animation program they have. Unclear whether you can just buy tickets for the flick or if you need to go to the whole thing.

Such a random animation season. I know they probably have to limit their choices, but there's still far more 'important' films than the ones they picked (not that I'm bemoaning the potential chance to see Paprika on the big screen).

Maybe I'm just saying that because I think Waking Life is so much better than A Scanner Darkly ;)
