So some unionist parties are going to Lybia to seek compensation for the troubles. How dare they!?!?! Thats like the Irish govt. going to westminister and demanding compo for 800 years, and rent for the North while they're at it! How can they get away with this?

The Libyans will laugh at them. Wee Willie Frazer going too?

    No they won't.

Geoff and the bhoys will come back with a good deal for all the innocents who were crippled and injured by Libyan supplied explosives.

RUC will get a fair schmack and also maybe some BA bods who got injured.

The dead won't get anything, relatives will though.

Fair deal I'd say meself, auld Muahmar G. is realising his debt to society.

I wonder how much money Iraqi's could demand from the UK? Anyone think that alone would bankrupt them?

How about victims from the other side of the conflict? How much would they get from the UK government, who knowingly colluded with terrorists?

How much will the Talbot street bombing victims get from the British Government?

How much will the British government pay to the victims of IRA violence since an inordinate number of IRA killers were on the British governments payroll?

How much will the British government pay to the victims of British government collusion with loyalist death squads?

Oh what tangled webs we weave.

If successful, this could cripple the Western world. Of course, that would be an appalling vista that would never be allowed to happen

The House Committee on Foreign Affairs also heard testimony from Nuala O'Loan who served as the first Police Ombudsman (watchdog), who reported on the collusion in north Belfast which led to the death of Raymond McCord's son.

In her testimony, Mrs O'Loan said: "What we did find was that Special Branch, the Intelligence arm, dominated the Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC)". She blamed "an absence of proper policy and controls" for the killings.

Also testifying was John Finucane, who lost his father to collusion between British forces and the unionist paramilitary UDA.

Pat Finucane, a 39-year-old lawyer, was shot dead in front of his family when gunmen burst into his north Belfast home.

It emerged subsequently that three top UDA men involved in the planning and execution of the murder were also working for the British intelligence services at the time.

How about the Egyptian victims of England's, France's and Israel's pretend war in Egypt?

He made a serious tactical mistake in colluding with France and Israel to use military force against General Nasser, after the Egyptian leader had nationalised the Suez canal in 1956.

    The truth is out there.

Some might not want to see it of course for their own reasons.

What about Gadaffi's claims against the west, they did murder his daughter after all.

The bombs meant for terrorists kill Colonel Gadaffi’s daughter.

OK, this thread didn't start well and isn't being helped by almost everyone since deciding to dig downwards.

Digging up works better. You guys know this is the Politics forum, with an emphasis on discussion and reasonable discourse. Almost everything to do with Politics is permitted but there's an effort required higher then "ZOMG!". There's a ranting forum of course in the Rec category. Those who can should be working towards upping the standard of discourse, not dropping it.

Yes, I could have put it a bit fluffier, but look at the standard above...
