Within the last thirty minutes the weather has deteriorated rapidly here, gale force winds at times and the rain is bucketing down. Its gone very dark also.

Looks like a fairly heavy band of rain on the radar.

    West Limerick:-

Rain is a little more consistent and winds have certainly picked up a little since earlier with some gusts but again nothing more than a typical winter day so far.

A good Irish local weather station site is the Irish Weather Network which shows all the Met Eireann, NRA and private weather stations throughout the country http://www.irelandsweather.com/

Huge hail shower and very gusty winds here in the midlands - on the radar there appears to be a narrow train of showers backed by a strong westerly wind

    West Limerick:-

    Blustery with showers.

Bursts of crazy heavy wind and rain here all day - on the way into town there was a few spots where we could barely see the front of the car. All the roads round us are within millimetres of being submerged by the new lakes appearing in the fields on either side. Bleurgh.

It's raining in Sligo town, with a lovely dirty grey sky above. Pretty fresh breeze too - I'm sitting in a carpark and a few gust have been strong enough to buffet the car about.

In Waterford wind up to gale force again (gusting to 43 knots), 5 mm of rain so far today, barometer 998 falling. If there is any good news to be had its that after tonight conditions will improve for the next few days.
