Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This question has been asked here many times and the answer usuallly is that the cheapest place to get a replacement screen for any camera is the one that comes attached to a new camera :D

    Thanks for the reply ,

But i don't think thats true for every camera , i got estimates of €100 to have it done when the camera cost €400 ?

i was just asking if anyone knew where i could get a spare to replace it myself.

It's not true for every camera, but it is for most of the compacts & bridges.

You would only get a screen from the Panasonic agents. I doubt they will supply you with the parts at the same price that they do to their repairers. €100 for the repair sounds very reasonable.

You may have paid €400 for the camera but that is not what it's worth now. That sort of money now gets you entry level DSLR's. You will be paying about half the cost of replacement of a similar camera for the repair. Unless there is some sentimental attachment then it's probably better to replace it.
