I've moved my PC to somewhere I can use it again in the house and I've been noticing a "lack" of speed/power.
    Here's the current setup...
EQS Motherboard M64K9-ALV (Socket 939) with ATI Radeon Xpress 200 onboard (disabled)
    AMD Athlon64 3200+ 2.0ghz
    2gb (2x1gb) of Crucial PC3200 DDR-DIMM 2GB KIT CL3
Asus Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 (PCI Exp)
    2x 250gb SATA HDD
    Blue Storm II 500W PSU
    (Its running Windows 7)

I'm not to worried about the HDD's for the time being, more the CPU.
Its a socket 939 so the highest I could go on that would be an Athlon X2 4800+, which would be an improvement no doubt but they're expensive (on ebay etc.) for some reason, probably as they don't sell them anymore.

So would I be better off upgrading the mobo and CPU?
I was looking at this kit on komplett with the newest AM3 socket...
    -AMD Athlon II X4 620 Quad Core, Socket AM3, 2,6GHz, 2MB
    -Gigabyte GA-MA785GT-UD3H, Socket-AM3 AMD 785G+SB710, DDR3, Firewire, GbLAN, ATX, HDMI, DVI, 2xPCI-Ex(2.0)x16
    -Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333MHz 2GB CL9 Kit w/2x 1GB XMS3 modules, CL9-9-9-24, 1.5V, for Intel and AMD, 240pin
    @ €209

    What do the experts think?
btw as a standard point of view I'm looking to be able to run Crysis as good as I can. Which I can barely run at the mo :(

Upgrade kit looks good, you'll notice a nice difference with those changes.

WHat are the specs on your PSU by the way ?

    2x12v rails,strange....

It looks fine, but those 2 reviews seem to be quite old.Make sure you have the 4/8 pin motherboard connectors, not all older PSU's will have them (And neither will most older motherboards)
