Our 737-200 will return off lease and will replaced by a new A318. (Done)
Our 777 will return off lease and will be replaced by a new A350.
Our 737-400 will return off lease and will e replaced by a new A320. (Done)

A lot of posters reckon it's best to flog the 737-800 off and invest in more short haul fleet.
I didn't and it's taking a while to get my share price up,but it's too late to restart now.
Always buy fuel low (400) and try to advertise on the billboards, it usually pays off.
    Enjoy!

Sell your 737 for how-ever many DC-9-21's you can afford, this means you can fly more flights more frequently, at the start selling off your 737 will hurt your share prices. Only buy fuel when it's at $400 and when it is spend almost all your money on it as chances like it don't come around often, advertise on billboards only as they're the most effective and wait till the prices are at $5,000 and only advertise for 3 days as by then billboards are at $5,000 again . Don't spend your money on titchy planes like the YAK or ATRs save up and wait till you can afford a good big plane that Suits your needs and finally only fly routes with over 90% demand and if demand on one of your flights drops below 90% then it's cheaper to pay $5,000 to close the route and start a new one than to run routes with empty loss making planes.
These methods may seem a little extreme but trust me they work!

The plan for the rest of the year for MiniKegg Airlines is to replace the DC-9-21s on the short haul routes for Airbus A320s and the very short flights will be replaced with ATRs. So far today we've opened up our very first Asian Hub in Singapore at the moment there are 3 planes based there but the hope is to have 9 planes there by the end of 2009. Also all things going to plan we will be opening a South American hub possibly in Brazila but this isn't final. The stock prices have broken the $0.40 mark and shows no sign of stopping. Also last but not least we have introduced a new festive logo.

    Africa: Durban, South Africa
    Pacific Region: Auckland, New Zealand

2 new hubs to open in Asia and North America next week.

Is there any disadvantages to having a negative balance?

Ive found you can seemingly buy stuff once you begin with a positive balance.
So could this be beneficial as long as you can make it positive shortly afterwards?

No advantage. You can go slightly negative when buying planes too- but once you hit a specific threshold, you're stuck until you bring your balance back into positive again.

    downtime for an hour.

fuel was at 400 before it went down.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,843 ✭✭✭Panrich

I started on this a few days ago. It is really addictive. I am only at 16c stock value with 5x aircraft. I have 2 ERJ-145LRs and an ERJ 190-200 as well as a BAC 111 500 all with the original B737. I was toddling along nicely until I ran short of fuel and was trying to buy 50K at $2100 to tide me over until the morning a few days ago but I typed an extra 0 to wipe 1.1 million. When money is tight that really hurt. PS Bourke airlines for those that are interested.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 3,807 ✭✭✭castie

    ouch thats got to hurt.

Im 2 days old myself with
    737 x 1
    atr 42-500 x 4
    md-9-21 x 2

going good for now :) and 600k stock of fuel :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,037 ✭✭✭Cosmo Kramer

The fuel timings seem to have changed. $400 on a Monday morning doesn't match our table.

yarp, but it arrived just in time for me to hit my achievement!
Will have to keep track though for future ref, 850m lbs won't last forever ;)

Griffair is in the middle of our fleet replacement programme, expect stocks to take a bit of a hit, they will improve and rise again tonight.

    Our Fleet:

    A319-200 x 13
    A320-200 x 8
    A330-300 x 11
    BAE-146 x 63
    A321-200 x 31
    A318 Elite x 9
    A318-100 x 13
    A340-200 x 18
    A319-100CJ x 12
    A350-800 x 2

As you can see above all leased aircraft have returned off lease.
    A350,s have joined the fleet.

The next step in Griffairs programme is to replace all 63 BAE146 aircraft with A318/319/320/321 airbus aircraft.

Just another bulliten for shareholders and nonshareholders alike today I removed the ATRs on my very short-haul flights in favour of more fuel efficent Antonov AN-148-100As to keep any fuel costs to a minimum. Also despite what I said in the last update we will not be able to modernise our medium-haul fleet from DC-9-21s to Members of the Airbus A320 by the end of the
due to the fact that fuel has fallen to $400 and I spent $4 milion on fuel but it'll be finished by the 8th of January. We do not plan to launch more than 4 new flights by the end of the year due to the fact that we plan to spend most of our resources on fleet modernisation. Despite what people have said there should be stocks available in my Airline but if there isn't then I'm blaming Airline Manager for that mess up. Also because I've spent lots on fuel my stock prices are falling but will be rising again soon but garaunteeded some ejit will sell their stocks so watch out some stocks might come on the Market soon!

I am totally addicated to this game lads. Only good thing about facebook if ya ask me.

I am currently flying 50 DC10-10's and have them running almost maximum distance's (6436km) and with billboard advertising im running them all at 99% capicity (regardless of demand) What i am wondering now, should i keep on buying DC10-10's or save for a day and a half and start an A380 fleet? I have almost 300,000,000 in fuel as i buy up a load of it when its at 400 but my share price is still only around 5.50

Anyone who is after a good return on investment check out Aedan Airlines. Still have lots of stock left :-)

Nice work Mull-Air, I've a tidy profit since your post yesterday...

What return should I be getting on an A321-200 flight near max range, I'm averahging around 420,000 per flight as it is.
Thought I read somewhere it's earnings should be over the half-million mark??

Demand level (along with distance) determines ticket price. Even at max distance- if you've not got an optimal demand- you're not going to max out your potential income (and your PAX is not going to be max'ed out either). Make sure the demand level is in the 90s, advertise the route (preferably with billboards), and max the distance. Use some of the website mentioned in this thread to work out good routes, and max your yields on them.

Many thanks to those who have invested in TSOS airlines already. We are currently focusing on expanding our European routes and purchasing more DC921s. We are looking to open at least four new short haul routes by the end of the year to destinations including Russia and Greece.

Griffair have opened a new hub in Toronto.

We have started to sell off our BAE146 aircraft.
These will be replaced by Airbus units. Unfortunately we are to Close our Cardiff hub and cease most Shorthaul routes between Ireland and the UK. We are also closing down our Inter UK routes. These routes are simply not viable for the company.

Griffair are to launch an impressive 100 new routes from our hubs at Dublin, Frankfurt, Sydney and Toronto. These will be medium and long haul routes, some of which have been launched already.

A deal with Airbus will bring over 100 aircraft to our fleet in the next 2 weeks. The order will be made up of

    A318
    A319
    A320
    A321
    A330
    A340
    A350

Senior members of Griffair are currently in France getting a breifing on the A380, however at this stage no orders have been placed, an order however for 10 A350 has been confirmed.

not been much fuel after getting the 850m lbs achievement and am now just $30mill away from reaching the $1 billion cash reserve achievement.

I say stick with the DC10s for a while. Add some A340-200 or B787-8 to your fleet. Great return on these aircraft. (Cost $16/19M,should get minimum $1.2 per full range flight) A380 is good but my best routes only get $6M per flight with an initial outlay of over $200M. Only buy the A380 when you have a very large (150+) fleet and/or want the achievement (which really doesn't help your airline in a meaningful way) Better for you profits to buy 12 A342 than a single A380!

I got mine first one as I passed 150 aircraft. When I hit 200 I startes to buy 1 every couple of days. Now have 295 aircraft, 23 of which are A380.
