    Which type of engineering?

I would choose Galway purely because it is more fun.

    Biomedical or Mechanical.
    I'm thinking probably Galway.

UL probably has a better degree programme....but not by much.
And Once you have your piece of paper, I dont think anyone really cares.
The social life in Galway blows the suburbs of Limerick out of the water.

Yeah, UL's is older! But Galway is getting an engineering building in the next year or two. And the social life would be good which helps!

For Biomedical, Galway for sure. Far too many companies with investments in NUI such as Boston Scientific and Beckman Coulter. Apparently also one of the "areas of excellance" that the college is investing in over the next few years.

Plus Galway is the bomb for student life.

Limerick beats it on the campus itself and facilities.
