Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I just bought an Onkyo tx 507 receiver. I have an old set of speakers I got with a dvd player years ago. They have rectangular connections like this http://cimg.163.com/gz/it/20031229/f02.jpg .

If I cut off the connections will I be able to use them with the 507.

    Thanks

Provided the two wires coming from each connector indicate that one wire is different to the other - one is normally marked with a stripe of some kind, then you can connect the speakers up the same way - i.e. the stripe wire to the black speaker connection on the amp in all cases. To be honest, as long as there are two wires available after you've cut off the connector, you can connect them up, any difference probably won't be that noticeable in this case.
