Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dang just the keeper and Valencia wrong.

Should be enough for at least a draw.

Surprised to see Scholes start. Perhaps that suggests Fletch-Ando-Carrick for the weekend.

See Gibson is back on bench today now too.

Like see the two strikers get on the scoresheet

thinking the same, but then Scholes would have Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday to get fresh enough for the game on Sunday. Shouldn't really be a problem, if Fergie wants to go that way. I would still say though that Carrick is more likely if we are going 451 on Sunday (as I think we should)

don't think the presenter on TV3 knows much about Macheda, called him 'the young striker beside Owen'

is anyone else seeing an incredibly blurry picture on TV3?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46,462 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

I wonder who will be sent off in this game, that ends up getting Kiko subbed; and at what point Fabio will go off with cramp or injured

Noticed that myself. Switched over to Sky. Picture is much better. Better commentary too.... well just about.

sick to death of hearing about the 'old Michael Owen'. Maybe we shoulda signed him instead?

    Nani playing well so far...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    nani's started well.

when's the last time anyone said that? :D

edit: liam o 10 seconds before me it seems...

early bird and all that ;)

Nani has a lot to offer United imo. He's not a league 1 player as someone said over the weekend  has a lot of great attributes, just has to improve decision making which I think comes when he plays 3 or 4 games in a row.

Owen was brought to be the clinical striker we needed. Give him a chance and he'll score most of the time, I thought.

    I was wrong, seemingly

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

That's twice now they've mentioned the old Owen.

It's only a matter of time before they start mentioning Ronaldo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,172 ✭✭✭NaiveMelodies

Jayzuz Owen should be walking away with the goldenboot at this stage, and no excuses either lads, that is a fact.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,432 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

I'd be happy if CSKA keep shooting from 25-30 yards out all game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Macheda. What a chance. Just curled at the last second.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,432 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

jesus, that almost looked like it went through the net by the post there...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I think Owen deserves to be cut a bit of slack. He just seems a bit too anxious to impress at the moment. Like he's trying too hard. A bit like the Robbie Keane at Liverpool situation. Unlike that situation though we should get behind Owen and support him and give him the chance to come good.

    Great Finish

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Wow. I honestly thought he'd never score from that angle.

Good goal tbf. We should have had a couple already. Owen will have to take one soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,172 ✭✭✭NaiveMelodies

    Should be his hattrick!
