As a neutral I've seen Man Utd about 5 or 6 times thus far this season and from what I've seen their performances have been good.

Their strength in depth for me as in outsider seems to be good. It's not unbelievable by any means but it's good. Churning out youngsters like Macheda (unless they bought him... correct me if I'm wrong) is remarkable and shows the type of quality that Utd possess in terms of youth development.

One bad game tonight doesn't mean that there's a lack of quality. Utd have just simply been outplayed thus far.

They last lost at Old Trafford in February 2005 to AC Milan. They have not lost a home game in the group stage since way back in October 2001, when a couple of Fabien Barthez howlers gifted Deportivo a 3-2 win.

great post, agree with everything. That said United have been very unlucky as well, missed a few great chances as what happened just there proves. :mad:

2005 against Milan. Haven't lost in the group stage at home since 2001 against Deportivo.
