Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not one bad game, there have been many average performances by UTDstandards only to get late goals. I was only pointing out the lack of quality in depth. Should have had a pen that would have changed the course of the game also.

As a neutral I've seen Man Utd about 5 or 6 times thus far this season and from what I've seen their performances have been good.
They get results and that's all that matters. I know some individual performances may not be good but it's a results business so that's all that should matter despite how they're obtained.

Tonight they're playing a few fringe players and they're not Man Utd's first choices bar some.

On their day Utd's young guns can be fantastic. Tonight though they've just had an off day. Utd supporters can correct me if I'm wrong but the likes of Fabio, Macheda, Scholes and Neville are probably picked for Carling Cup games and are playing (with no disrespect) lesser opposition.

Their strength in depth for me as in outsider seems to be good. It's not unbelievable by any means but it's good. Churning out youngsters like Macheda (unless they bought him... correct me if I'm wrong) is remarkable and shows the type of quality that Utd possess in terms of youth development.

One bad game tonight doesn't mean that there's a lack of quality. Utd have just simply been outplayed thus far.

Can anyone remember the last time we've lost at home in the CL? I'm racking my brains trying to think of one.

    BBC:

They last lost at Old Trafford in February 2005 to AC Milan. They have not lost a home game in the group stage since way back in October 2001, when a couple of Fabien Barthez howlers gifted Deportivo a 3-2 win.

great post, agree with everything. That said United have been very unlucky as well, missed a few great chances as what happened just there proves.

2005 against Milan. Haven't lost in the group stage at home since 2001 against Deportivo.

The ref would want to wish United score anyway, Fergie will be furious with the penalty decision
