Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How on earth did Henderson not score for Sheffield Utd?

Very worried about our defence..... wouldn't be the first time. Enrique and Colo take way too many risks back there. Trying to do tricks. Have a feeling it may backfire unless Chris tells them to cop the fcuk on.

It'd be ok if they were good but they're not all that good. We're all over the shop.

They're gonna eventually score from one of those long range shots. We deserve to be losing.

yeah, he seems to be acting the fool

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

We need half time. We've not created any chances and our defence is so dodgy it's like Jenga blocks waiting to collapse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

    Commentator: Coloccini was brilliant there.

Ah sure there's a first time for everything. :pac:

Half time. Thank fcuk for that.

This is only the 2nd time I've watched Newcastle this season, the first was the was when they beat Reading 3-0 and were excellent, they look a totally different side today, a much pooer side. Whats gone wrong?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,853 ✭✭✭Cake Man

Are we playing with a midfield lads? Coz I didn't see one. As I feared, we're playing rubbish again. Giving the ball away too easily. Midfield clueless and misplacing passes. Don't know how we're not a goal or two down already.

Was at Newcastle Qpr a few weeks back and it was obvious that Newcastle lacked any real width. Very strong down the centre but rarely make any inroads on the flanks.

Doesn't really look like it. Far too many times our two centre backs haven't been in position. They've been pushing forward into midfield and our supposed midfield seem undisciplined and are just doing whatever they want.

Alan Smith has been poor. He needs to rally the troops together and tell them to cop the fcuk on. He's been guilty of misplacing loads of passes himself. We've to come out of the traps fast. We're better than this. If we don't Sheffield United will hammer us.

The problem is that we always seem to lump the ball up to Carroll so he can head it on to the likes of Nolan or Smith.

When we do play wide we give the ball away well too often. Jonas for all his tricks is sloppy and hasn't been able to run at defenders. Ryan Taylor is the same really.

Centre of midfield is our strong point arguably but I'd much prefer to see Smith and Guthrie in there than Butt.

Yeah definitely, Smith needs to wake up big time. I'd normally say get Lovenkrands/Guthrie/Harewood on but in fairness, they're not going to do any better. :(

    C'mon to fcuk!

Shay Given referring to Newcastle as "we". "We should create some more"

    HE STILL LOVES US!!!!

I've noticed that in every televised game I've watched of Newcastle this season we've always closed down more in the second half and there's never been any of it in the first half. What's up with that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Enrique you little beast. I take it back. You are amazing. You can fcuk around at the back all you like.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Yeah, no more Duff to fill in left back! Could maybe do with getting a sub on, Jonas off I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

My heart. My poor fcuking heart.

Yeah Smith was made captain. Not sure what's going on there. A much better influence than Butt.

Believe me mate. My heart has sustained worse supporting this team.

Chris must think that Simpson is gonna get sent off or something. Make a reckless challenge and give away a penalty.
