Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Major Windows 7 Issue

    Alright All,

I installed Windows 7 and everything was fine and then after installing the latest nvidia drivers the system rebooted with the error "Hardware or software must not have installed properly" and gave me the options to repair or start normally.

I clicked repair and it went to "Starting Windows" and then looped back to the same screen. So i selected "Start Normally" and same thing again.

Tried to start in safe mode and then some of the other options and nothing. Then I banged in the installation disk and the same problem came up and it wouldn't let me repair or restore.

So i reinstalled vista and i realised that i'm 100MB down and i can't see that partition in disk management. I then tried to reinstall Windows 7 but got the same error screen as before. I think the 100MB hidden partition is corrupted and is stopping me loading the windows 7 disk.

Does anyone know how to delete that partition so i can try again? is there a piece of software i can download to delete that hidden partition?

    Regarding the original issue:

Did you get a stop error when you ran into the problem with Win7?
What drivers did Win7 originally allocate for your graphics card?
What version drivers did you install when the problem happened?

Regarding reinstalling Win7 - get GParted, scrub every partition of the disk, and start installing Win7 from scratch.

    Yeah 0xc000025 i think or 225?
I'm not sure about the drivers it used
I installed the latest nvidia windows 7 64 bit drivers (not beta)

Thanks i'll see if gparted can get rid of the hidden partition.
