    any ideas how to get an elec sound from an acoustic like this? any idea what kind of pickups, and pedals it would take to get this. i toyed around with the acoustic years ago tryin to get something like this sound. with painful results.

    A magnetic pickup and some sort of overdrive (probably tubescreamer) used sparingly. Seymour Duncan, Shadow and several other companies make magnetic pickups for acoustics. The Seymour Duncan Woody is a nice one.

    Another big part of it is technique.

    thanks for that Dord. im gonna try and check it out. i suppose its running through an Od pedal. i have a few lying around at home id like to try it out with. an interesting ol' sound.
