What measure is used to say we're out of recession?

    How do we know if we're in our out of recession?
    Is there something the CSO issues?

    im not sure who does the measuring, more than likely its CSO


    not that its easy to trust GDP figures since they can be easily manipulated by creative accounting and distortions


    a better indicator of recession being over would be reversal in unemployment

    The Moan Factor is a good indicator. People whinge, bitch and begrudge far more during a recession:)
