New HTC hero - apps/roms etc ??

    Hi folks,

    just picked up my HTC hero from metoer - changed from o2.

    so, am just charging it at the minute - and will play with it during today.

    All my previous phones have been bland - bluetooth was the most advanced feature on them, so the hero is a fair auld stepup.

    I need yer help in the following;
    Are there settings I need to adjust from the off - got the 250mb add-on/bill pay.
    Is there firmware I need
    Apps worth while getting
    web pages worth scanning for info on htc/hero/android

    any help really? have it setup on wifi at home.

    I'd like some apps / roms recommendations too.

    Is Co-Pilot (GPS Software) worth getting? Or is Google Maps Navigation enough?

    Which web browser is recommended? Is there a better MP3 player out there?

    I've heard about an app for Facebook called "FBook"? Is that any better or worse than the official Facebook app?
