Sony Ericcon W580I Screen Replacement

    Ive had my phone about 2 years now so the warrantly is out on it.

    Over the weekend black lines started to appear on the screen and they have stayed on the screen.The phone HAS NOT been near water or HAS NOT been dropped either.

    So i googled about the net and learnt that the screens in this model or LCD screens and quiet regularly they go,causeing black lines to appear.

    Now ive seen them on amazon and ebay for about 15 euro.I was searching through this section and found some places on here which you can get your screen fixed, and i contacted them and they said around 75-90 euro which is alot of money.

    My question is, if i buy myself the right screen of the net, and try fit it myself is it easy?? I take the screen off the other day but it was attached to the phone by a kind of sticky glue so i didnt pull it incase i damaged the phone.

    Has any one on here ever put a new screen in a sony ericsson and can you's offer me some advice please.

    Check your receipt, it has a 24 month warranty so you may still be covered
