Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Group A
    Bayern Munich v Bordeaux
    Maccabi Haifa v Juventus

    Group B
    Besiktas v Wolfsburg

    Group C
    AC Milan v Real Madrid
    Marseille v FC Zurich

    Group D
    APOEL Nicosia v FC Porto

Milan-Madrid is obviously the stand-out. Tempted to watch it and record the United match.

Expect wins for Juve, Wolfsburg, and Marseille. Draws in the rest.

Yeah it's the best game by far on tonight if not for quality but guaranteed entertainment!
Dida is still in goal so anything can happen. You usually get Brazilians in the box to avoid close shaves but it seems to be the opposite in his case!

I can't wait for AC Milan and Real Madrid. Here's hoping it's gonna be as entertaining as the last game.

was wondering was there a thread on this. Pretty open at the moment, kaka robs last man gets to endline in the box, can't pick out anyone with pullback, then seconds later pato puts arbeloa on his ass just outside area (well, he slipped) and also can't find anyone with pull back.

    Lively enough start.

    Marseille 2-0 up now.

    Abriel with a free kick.

    Also Wolfsburg 1-0 up.

    Misimiovic with a cracker.

great save by Casillas from Pato, possibly he got in a bit close to be hitting it so hard. Lot of half chances and nearly breaks so far, still pretty open.

CSKA Moscow beating Manchester United 1-0

    Dzagoev with a quality finish.

Owen has just equalised for Manchester United.

are you watching all 8 on the multiview or watching one and flicking when the score alerts come up?

Madrid 1 up, Benzema. Poor Keeping, doesn't hold deflected shot from Kaka and it goes straight to Benzema, who
finishes from a tight angle with keeper at fault again on the angle he gave him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

And CSKA Moscow are back in front.

    Krasic.

And I've got the goal alert function on. :D

doubt it, can easily keep ahead of it with multiview on sky. and goal alerts

1-1 Milan peno. Dodgy handball player sliding gets hit in chest more than hand with pull back. Nice
finish on peno from Roanaldinho though.

Real vs AC for some entertainment... hahah, brilliant!

    Fantastic peno too.

FC Zurich have pulled one back against Marseille.

    Alphonse. Good goal.

NOT 2-1 milan, pato nice finish!

    ooohh ruled out! still 1-1

Dodgy handball given against Pato? Not clear on replay.

Why was that Pato goal ruled out?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

    Just seen the penalty now.

    Well taken.

Gourcuff has put Bordeaux in front against Bayern Munich.

Terrible marking from a set piece.

looks like the must have given handball, but replays don't show much, no good shot of intial take down high on his chest though. Only thing it coud've been, but if so it was terribly late..

Juventus up 1-0 against Maccabi Haifa.

    Camoranesi just on half time.

This goal alert lark is slow at times.

cska 3-1 up, easy finish, shocking defending

What was Fabio (or is it Rafael) doing?

I think it was Fabio, but Macheda had the guy and left him. Fabio just let the ball go over his head with no apparent attempt to get it.

    Marseille 3-1 up now.

Good little chip over the keeper by Niang

  • Subscribers Posts: 16,596 ✭✭✭✭copacetic

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

and another. beat 2 defenders, poor effort staight at keeper lands back at his feet for a tap in.

Hilton puts Marseille up 4-1 now.

And Dzeko puts Wolfsburg up 3-0 now.

    Falcao puts Porto up 1-0

Valencia puts United level with CSKA Moscow. Massive deflection though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Chamakh has just scored for Bordeaux. Disgraceful defending. Long ball and a mistake from the keeper.

  • Subscribers Posts: 16,596 ✭✭✭✭copacetic

so atletico got one back for 2-2 and utd are blessed with a very lucky deflected shot to get the draw. milan and madrid died out a bit. Milan had plenty of chances, would say they will be unhappy with the ref to say the least.

What a penalty by Ronaldinho against Real. I don't think you will see many better from 12yrds.
