We are going to Sydney at Christmas , my dad has travelled back since and when he entered with an Irish passport the officers at the airport took him into a small room and questioned him as to why…

I was born in Sydney so i am an Australian citizen, however i moved to Ireland in 1997 and my parents didnt renew my passport. We are going to Sydney at Christmas , my dad has travelled back since and when he entered with an Irish passport the officers at the airport took him into a small room and questioned him as to why he wasnt using his Australian passport. To avoid this the whole family are renewing their passports, because i am 18 and qualify for my first adult passport I have to go for an interview at the embassy. Does anyone know what this interview involves?
