Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The oil shown is a fourstroke 10w40 semi synthetic and should be fine.

Here's the thing, cars are four stroke too.

However, cars have a dry clutch in a seperate gearbox, engine oil never gets near it. Bikes have a wet clutch, basically wet by the engine oil.

Motorcycle oil is designed slightly different to car oil.

In a lot of cases, I have heard about people putting car oil in a bike and having no problems. However, I have also heard of people experiencing clutch slip cos they used motor oil.

So in a nutshell, I would not put car oil in a bike for that reason.

However, if I was somewhere, checked the oil and it was low, I would top it with car oil to get me home and then change it as soon as possible.
