Teamer messages have been sent out and at the moment we have 13 people.

Can I ask people to always have a check on teamer at around 8.30pm on the night of a game. This way you will know if you have moved from 13th or 14th to one of the playing positions. If anybody drops out after this time and you have moved from one of the non-playing spots to one of the playing spots, then I will ring/text you to let you know.

I will take it for granted that you know if you are playing or not if there are no changes after 8.30pm.

17 on teamer now must be a new record. Just a thought but would a spare pitch be free so we could have a full length game? Btw I'm #13 again so it is in my best interests.

I was only thinking about no backpasses the other day. I think it would force us to keep the ball in play longer and remove the safe-haven of going back to the keeper if we are in trouble.

So...in short...I'm in favour of a "no-backpass" rule.

Wonder if anyone wants to drop out. The forecast is not good 'Misty in many areas, with extensive hill and coastal fog' and Grey's Anatomy is on RTE2 at 9.55pm!

Of course, this is a mistake and was meant to say 10pm.

Edit: I wouldn't be against no back pass rule. I feel that was the difference between the teams on Tuesday during our 15-3 loss.

What do we do when so many people have accepted? Those pitches won't support a 9-a-side...
And I'd be keen to get rid of backpasses - they slow up the game and reduce the incentive to pressure.

The last few people who accepted so people like me need not go.
On teamer you can see what order people accepted so its first come first served basis.


Yeah getting rid of the back pass would be good and also starting on time would be good too.

At the moment, yes.

But you should keep an eye on it now and then till around 8.30pm as we have dropouts every week. If there's dropouts after 8.30pm, I'll text you to tell you that theres a game for you.

As a few people seem in agreement and nobody seemingly against it, we'll start a "no-backpass" rule from tonight.

I agree with Ciaran about trying to start on time. I'm guilty of being late occasionally so I'll try get there earlier. (Well its not really my fault, its whoever is giving me a lift that day... )

So if I can ask everyone to be early and kitted up so we can sort out money and get teams sorted, we should be able to start on time rather than starting 5-10 mins late, being kicked off the pitches 5 mins early and losing 10-15 mins playing time.

Yeah it was a bit of a wait alright. The triage nurse could have easily patched us up rather than waiting that long for the doc. Ah its done.

I certainly won't be going up for any headers with Ray again.
