    Hi, does anyone know when the christmas lights are being turned on in galway this year?

    bit of a crisis this year....no money....at the moment it's touch and go as to whether there will be lights at all....the council is going to have to stump up...!

    Word on the (shop) street is that the English shops arn't funding the lights. Boots, river island and the likes. Tis only the Irish shops that are coughing up the dough. Heard that somewhere, but cant be sure how truthful it is.

    Years of TV have taught me that there will be a miracle and the lights will be provided and switched on just in time to save Christmas.

    TV wouldn't lie, would it?

    Worst case scenario we can all stare at the sun and then see plenty of colourful lights.
