hey guys. i am trying to organise a trip away for my local kayak club to wicklow mountains (laragh etc area) and wondered if anyone had recomendations for cheap hostels in the general area? its a mature non-part-crazy club, so not looking for kind of place that we can trash, just somewhere cheap to crash.

If you want something closer to Laragh (the one Glenalla mentioned is right over the other side of the Wicklow Mountains) then the International Hostel in Glendalough would be convenient http://www.anoige.ie/hostels/glendaloch but maybe a bit pricey. Otherwise there's one in Aughavannagh over in Glenmalure http://www.lugnaquillahousehostel.com/ and there's always the An Oige hostel in Glenmalure if you're looking for something more 'basic' :Dhttp://www.anoige.ie/hostels/glenmalure. It's quite small though.

The hostel in rathdum is the job....any time we head down with the college club we stay in the hostel in rathdrum...Its a quick spin up the road to laragh and there's a few good pubs in rathdrum too....
