Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Downlight in Roof

Basic I have a downlight consisting of an opening in the roof to allow light in via a reflective tube that lights up the bathroom/hall.

Myself and about 3 others have done a snag on this and all have the same issue. When you are in the attic there is light visible at the opening of the cut in the roof.

I've question the builder on this and he says this is as it should be. Now there is another one of these downlight and its not like this.

I'm obviously afraid that water could get in and cause damage. Any one got a detail of what this should look like? Best I've seen is a chimney flashing in the Hombebond book

Also at the apex the roof there is another gap letting light in. I cant reach it to check it out correctly but the builder says its a vent. Again it would appear to me that water could easily get in and this shouldn’t be the case. Any opinions?
